October

Dizziness inflates
like the creation of infinity
Allowing droplets of dissolving innocence
to be sampled before our sole contrast grows
permanently misunderstood, misled, and misplaced

With much hesitation we share a memory
since nature promises to catch us in her arms
She says, embrace – for what happens, happens

So we become defined as a typified manner of experience
Pressed against the structure of multiple insinuations
we remain impassive towards sorrow or joy

And at the end, when the eyes last met, a current
of thought tumbled from those vacant skies,
quietly gathering in a pool of
bright smiles and faded
photographs.
